The smart grids is an important element of the Smart Cities, supporting the realization of an electricity system with minimal impact on the environment by independent adjustment of electricity supply and demand using information technology. Hitachi will continue to contribute to the realisation of the smart grids with integrated solutions consisting of synthesized systems from equipment for power generation, transmission and distribution, to control systems, such as power system monitoring and power distribution automation, and information systems, including an electricity fee system and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure).
