UPS, an Uninterruptible Power Supply, also Uninterruptible Power Source, is an Electrical Apparatus that provides Emergency Power to a load when the Input Power Source, typically mains power, fails. UPS is typically used to protect Hardware such as Computers, Data Centres, Telecommunication Equipment or other Electrical Equipment where an Unexpected Power Disruption could cause Injuries, Fatalities, Serious Business Disruption or Data Loss.

Uninterruptible Power Supply or UPS is normally regarded as the ultimate solution to power problems by providing both uninterrupted Power Backup and Power Conditioning. It protects the load from all AC Utility supply anomalies i.e. Blackouts, Brownouts, Surges, Spikes, Sags etc.

i4+ Single Phase Industrial UPS Systems

Hitachi offers high quality power backup technology and complete customised design solutions for demanding applications. With a design philosophy to perform better under extreme operating conditions, the i4+ Series has a range of 5 to 225 kVA and uses Digital Signal Processors (DSP) technology to make the control loop of the system stable, reliable and drift free.

This series has been designed to perform under the extreme operating systems that normally exist in industrial environments. The use of Digital Signal Processors (DSP) makes the control loop of the UPS system very stable, drift free and with better HMI for monitoring, control and precise settings of parameters. High speed CAN bus interfaced sections make the system response very fast to handle the extreme transient load conditions. The i4 Single Phase Industrial UPS is an intelligent power device with sandwich bus architecture which makes the system highly efficient and reliable.

Enterprise UPS Systems - HS (Hitachi Standalone) and HM (Hitachi Modular) 3 phase UPS series

True on-line Double Conversion technology. Completely regenerates the Sine-Wave so your equipment gets not only back-up time, but also clean and conditioned power.

The HS & HM series three phase UPS incorporates advanced technology that increases performance and reliability. Three high speed DSPs with completed digital control fully ensure high quality power supply, and the high input power factor gives the HS33 & HM33 its energy-saving power. Also offering humanisation design with full front access serviceability and a user-friendly interface, the system ranges from 10-500 KVA.

HS33 & HM33 range UPS systems are:

  • HS33 range 10 - 40 kVA
  • HM33 range (60 -500 kVA) are made of multiple 30kVA or 50 kVA Hot-Swappable modules, HM33 range is scalable
  • Each module has an individual LCD display showing the status of voltage, current and frequency for ease of maintenance

Enterprise UPS Systems - Single Phase itPower iP11 and HS11 Series

The itPower Online UPS offers the advantage of supplying power to the loads continuously, no matter what happens to the utility power. But the benefits of same go beyond its ability to continuously supply power. The process of taking alternating current from the utility and converting it to direct current, then back to alternating current, eliminates practically all power disturbances, including transients, noise, and voltage fluctuations.

Uninterrupted Motive Power Supply (UMPS)

Providing solutions for industrial power problems, the Hitachi UMPS product suite includes the industrial duty 1Ph UPS; 3Ph UPS; Rotary UPS, UMPS and iDip. From total power failure to voltage dips of various levels, Hitachi provides innovative, highly reliable and efficient solution systems to address unique problems. UMPS is the most reliable uninterrupted power back-up for 3ph motor loads.

iDip Catalogue

The Hitachi iDip maintains motor RPM even if there is an input voltage dip in all phases or any one phase reduced to 50% for 2 seconds duration. VFD is used for precise speed control, and the iDip maintains the VFD DC voltage during input voltage fluctuation. A highly reliable stand-by device which activates only in time of voltage fluctuations.
