#New Australia Refrigerator Standard AS/NZ IEC 62552-3 for R-WX670KA
The new range of Made in Japan refrigerators have been tested to the new standard AS/NZ IEC 62552-3 being introduced in 2021. Under the new standard the way the refrigerator volume is measured changes – it measures the Usable Storage Space.
R-G670GAX and R-WX670KA are basically the same refrigerator with same physical dimensions however the storage capacity we can claim is now reduced for the R-WX670KA.

Vacuum-sealed for Food Freshness
The secret to longer-lasting freshness is reduced oxygen levels. Hitachi’s original preservation extracts air to maintain approx. 0.8 atm of vacuum preservation. With unique Platinum Catalyst, chilled meat, fish and dairy products are kept fresh and nutritious, and ready to cook.
Stay healthy. A vacuumed environment prevents oxidisation and retains nutrients inside the food.

Quick seasoning is made possible because the Vacuum Compartment removes air from stored food, enabling seasoning to be absorbed at a faster rate.*3 So, with less time required for seasoning and cooking, there’s more time for eating!

Refreshing Technology
Hitachi innovation at its finest and most consistent: the sealed pressure-resistant vacuum realises and maintains the vacuumed environment. A vacuum pump extracts air and reduces oxygen to achieve approx. 0.8 atm (atmospheric pressure) throughout usage.
* Vacuum means the space where the pressure is lower than the atmospheric pressure. The pressure in the Vacuum Compartment is about 0.8 atm, which is lower than the atmospheric pressure, hence, Hitachi considers this a vacuum.
Sensor Cooling
The lower 2 shelves are kept at approx. 2°C. This is lower than the regular refrigerator temperature, so your items stored here retain their freshness. The sensor detects temperature changes and adjusts the cooling power to maintain the 2°C temperature in the right lower compartment.*

Aero-care Vege Compartment
The uniquely-designed compartment sustains freshness and nutrients of the vegetables and fruits with Platinum Catalyst. In addition, the improved airtight seal of compartment increases and controls humidity.
Under the power of a Platinum Catalyst, food achieves amazing results. With increased carbon dioxide produced, vegetable respiration is controlled and consumption of nutrients from the environment limited to prevent loss of food freshness.

Delicious Freezing Technology
Delicious Freezing technology seals in the original textures, flavours and nutritional value of fresh and cooked products. This is achieved by freezing food very quickly past the maximum ice crystal formation zone on a big aluminium tray.
When the Temperature Sensor detects the temperature of hot food, it will automatically switch the setting and freeze it very quickly to past the maximum ice crystal formation zone. This minimises dripping by reducing ice crystal size, thus sealing in flavours of meat and fish.

Energy Saving
VIP is a thin panel with a very fine glass fibre vacuum inside, giving an extremely high heat insulation performance - much higher than that of Urethane, a conventional insulation material. It prevents external heat from escaping to achieve exceptional energy savings. Cooling retention is 15 hours, with the highest heat insulation performance during power cut.

Reduces Energy Consumption
In Frost Recycling Cooling, chilled air is generated by frost formed in the evaporator. This is recycled by being sent to every compartment to cool down – even when the compressor is not running. Through such a system, energy consumption is reduced.

Auto door technology provides a delightfully-easy door opening experience like never before. Even if the refrigerator and freezer are fully packed, doors can be opened automatically just by touching a button.
On Glass Controller
Usually, the refrigerator projects a refined appearance with no visible control panel. Touch the MENU button and the control panel display appears on the flat surface of the door, so you can control your settings without having to open the door.
Tempered glass that's scratch-resistant and easy to wipe clean is used for the doors.
