Hitachi’s Digital Diabetes Prevention Service originally started in Japan where the solution was developed to support employees & family well-being as part of a Japanese medical insurance requirement. There it was sold and deployed across a number of Japanese corporates to over 40k users. Based on such success, the prevention solution was enhanced and further co-designed with UK’s NHS patients and professionals to support a telephone-based diabetes prevention service. Incubated as part of an RCT trial involving 200 patients in partnership with Salford Royal NHS Trust and the University of Manchester, the proven solution is now available in Oceania.
