Hitachi RO (Reverse Osmosis) Unit for purifying any kind of water (salt, sewage, ground water)
On January 15, 2009, Hitachi Plant Technologies, Ltd. has purchased Aqua-Tech Engineering and Supplies Pte. Ltd., a manufacturer of a reverse osmosis (RO) systems for treating water, in an important step that accelerates the global expansion of the company's water business.
RO works by using pressure to force a solution through a membrane, retaining the solute on one side and allowing the pure solvent to pass to the other side. It works by forcing the water through a membrane, which lets clean water through but stops salts, viruses and microorganisms at the gate. This is the reverse of the normal osmosis process, which is the natural movement of solvent from an area of low solute concentration, through a membrane, to an area of high solute concentration when no external pressure is applied.
The biggest advantage is membrane technology gives you very clean water 100% of the time, and you can turn it on and off.
