Hitachi has developed advanced retrofit technology to improve the reliability and increase the MVA rating of existing steam turbine generators including other OEM machines for both thermal and nuclear applications. New technologies include Advanced Vortex Nozzles, Continuous Cover Blades, Sealing fin improvements, material improvements etc.Over the coming years Hitachi will be performing several turbine upgrade projects in Australia.
